Brandi Valencia of
Moriarty High School
The Player of the Week for the week of September 20th is Brandi Valencia of Moriarty High School. She led the Fighting Pintos to 3 big wins over Eldorado (3-0), La Cueva (3-0) and Ruidoso (3-2). She had 12 blocks, 17 digs, and 58 kills during the 3 matches. According to Coach Kim Bell, "Brandi is a powerfully talented athlete with a humble spirit. She always has the determined will to win and brings success to her team. She leads by example. A great kid!" Brandi has been an All-Metro and All- State player for the last 3 years in Volleyball and Basketball. She has dreams of playing basketball in college. Hopefully, she will be playing with her twin sister, Kristin. Brandi is an outstanding student with a 4.0 G.P.A.
