Albuquerque Sports Hall of Fame named Marty as the 2004 "Sports Promotion of the Year". He was recognized for his  coordination of the program over the last 6 years. Since 2004, Marty has sponsored and does the photo plaques of the Multi-sport High School Athletes of the Year in the Metro area. 10 top female and male senior high school student/athletes have been honored at the banquet.
